TROUPE/ARTIST VISA
 
It is granted at the request of a local sponsor and on his responsibility to a foreigner who is coming to Oman to perform entertaining shows, provided that the sponsor has already obtained an approval from the authorities concerned.
 
  • This visa can be used within six months from the date of issuance.
  • It is a single-entry visa, valid for staying in the country for three months from the date of entry. It is extendable for a similar period, provided that the licence is renewed, and that the visa extension does not exceed the validity of the licence.
  • Fees: RO6
Requirements:
 
  • The sponsor must be a local one with full legal capacity and be responsible for the truth of the information stated in the application form.
  • The sponsor must have a licence for organizing entertaining events.
  • The sponsor must obtain a licence from the Directorate General of Tourism, Ministry of Commerce and Industry and other authorities concerned for bringing entertaining troupes/artistes.
Application and Attachments:
 
  • Visa application form typed, approved and stamped by the sponsor.
    • For Arabs holding passports issued in Arab countries the visa application form must be filled out in Arabic.
    • For Non-Arabs holding passports issued in non-Arab countries the visa application form must be filled out in English.
  • The Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s Licence.
  • Two photographs (4 * 6) cm.
  • Copy of the foreigner’s passport which must be valid for three months at least.
  • Copy of the specimen signature of the authorized signatories issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
  • Copy of valid certificate of membership of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • Where the application is submitted to the Directorate General of Passport and Residence (DGPR) by a representative and not by the sponsor in person, the representative must be an Omani national holding an authorization in writing from the sponsor and approved by the DGRP.
  • A medical examination report indicating that the foreigner is free of contagious diseases.
Note:.
 
  • The visa should only be requested for an artiste included in the licence.

The visa is valid for a maximum of three months, and may be extended for a similar period if the licence period is extended. The validity of the visa should not exceed the validity of the licence, a maximum of three months each time
