Some provisions of passport law amended Judges at the Supreme Court appointed MUSCAT —His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has issued two Royal decrees. Royal Decree No 11/2010 amends some of the provisions of the Omani Passport Law. Article 1 of the decree replaces the text of Article 12 of the Oman Passport Law by the following: “Article 12: It is not permitted to issue ordinary passports to minors (children) or those placed under guardianship except with a written approval by their parents, guardians or caretakers and in accordance with the procedures regulating this matter”. Article 2 states that the decree shall be enforced on the day following its date of publishing. Royal Decree No 12/2010 appoints judges at the Supreme Court. Article 1 stipulates that the judges whose names are mentioned in the list attached to the decree shall be appointed as judges at the Supreme Court. The decree took effect yesterday
